Micronics U1000-HM Clamp On BTU Meter

The U1000 HM is a wall mounted clamp on ultrasonic heat and energy meter for closed hydronic systems. It combines transit time ultrasonic flow measurement with paired clamp on temperature sensors to calculate heating or cooling energy. The display and electronics are located in a separate wall mounted enclosure, while the flow sensors are clamped directly to the outside of the pipe. This arrangement gives technicians easy access to measurement data without needing to reach difficult pipe locations.

The unit is configured through an onboard keypad. The installer enters pipe size, material, fluid type and glycol concentration if required. The U1000 HM calculates the correct transducer spacing and continuously monitors signal strength during operation. The paired temperature sensors measure supply and return temperatures, allowing the meter to compute energy rate and accumulated energy using standard hydronic formulas. Pulse and milliamp outputs support integration with building management and control systems.
